Guest Selectors
Read the stories that artists read.
This is a unique archive of news and media selected by artists, friends, and colleagues from around the globe whom we trust and admire.
We invite visual creators, curators, journalists, musicians, chefs, and other critical thinkers from across the world to share what recent events capture their attention. They are each given one week to reflect on major global events, stories that have touched them personally, relate to their work or peripheral interests, or have inspired, enraged, or entertained them. Along with their chosen articles many contributors provide insights and commentary, inviting you to learn as much about them and their work as you will about their view of the world and current events. This collective reading and search for knowledge offers alternate perspectives, memories, and perceived realities. This archive is continually growing at an organic and human pace.
Each contributor is allowed and encouraged to express their personal views, expertise, biases, and opinions. You may not agree with them, they may not agree with each other, and we as a platform might not agree. Views expressed are those of each contributor and do not necessarily reflect Artist News Network’s position. But we do believe firmly in their right to express their opinions and we will defend their right to do so.
