The Artist News Network launched in January 2021 as a platform for uniquely curated news, media, and stories shared by a selected group of artists and creatives from across the globe. You are offered the chance to see through the eyes of inspirational makers and critical thinkers. Guest Selectors are invited for one week to take over the @artistnewsnetwork Instagram page and share their stories and thoughts on the media. This growing archive contains snapshots of time, stories, and conversations, and it lives as a collective record of artists in dialogue reflecting on our current situation.
Current stories are posted regularly on the Everyday page as well as on the Artist News Network Instagram, Threads, and Bluesky.
The project was founded by Max Rippon, an artist and curator based in Los Angeles. His practice examines the narratives, distortions, and psychological impact of contemporary news media through dialogue and memory built through labor. Archive is the art. Art is the archive.
