Anne-Laure Lemaitre
Anne-Laure Lemaitre is an independent curator who champions artists across the globe by building bridges between creatives, patrons, brands, and new communities. She believes in public space as a critical artistic forum and recognizes the parallels and chasms between IRL and URL.
For a number of years, Lemaitre shared a weekly selection of news articles on her IG she called her ‘Sunday Long Reads.’ She illuminated long-form journalism on current events, bubbling trends, and personally relevant tales. This practice examined how information is generated and circulated, the evolution of journalistic integrity, and community-based knowledge in a volatile media landscape.
Anne-Laure Lemaitre is a New York based creative director, curator and producer specialized in large-scale in-situ art.
After studying at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris under the sculptor Giuseppe Penone, she decided to focus on curation to help expand the vision of purpose driven artists while creating spaces for genuine interactions between art and communities.
With 15+ years of corporate experience of creating art infused activations, greater than life installations and complex site specific programs around the world for companies and institutions alike, Anne-Laure Lemaitre strongly believes in the importance of anchoring art in its context as a means to further its impact, trigger new perspectives and explore new conceptual territories.
Anne-Laure Lemaitre currently separates her time between consulting for a variety of clients including Fortune 500 companies and her passion as an emerging independent curator for the management of curatorial programs with up and coming artists in various galleries and pop-up spaces.
